According to Business Insider, pay for truckers is soaring, but it's not solving the shortage of drivers issue.

Because of the coronavirus, online shopping went up as people went outside less.This meant companies needed more drivers, and therefore bumped up pay to attract workers, CNN reported on Saturday.
Daniel Walton, a 47-year-old truck driver at Roehl Transport, a Wisconsin-based trucking company, told CNN that his salary has skyrocketed from $40,000 a year a few years ago to around $70,000 in 2021.
Drivers are moving between trucking companies to see who has a better package.
"You hear numbers thrown at you, there is a temptation to go elsewhere," he said. Recently he had one friend go to Walmart(WMT), another to FedEx(FDX), which have more regular routes and time at home for their drivers.
